When club football competitions have finished for this season with the final of UEFA Champions League, a new football tournament will be held in Russia: the FIFA Confederations Cup. This tournament that is held every four years will be celebrated in Russia, where eight national teams will contest the trophy, these countries being Australia, Cameroun, Chile, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal and Russia.
However, this tournament is not the only interesting sporting event in June. In fact, we highlight two other events: the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the U.S. Open. The former is the world's oldest active sports car race in endurance racing, held annually since 1923 in Le Mans (France). Consequently, it is one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world and represents one leg of the Triple Crown of Motorsport; other events being the Indianapolis 500, and the Monaco Grand Prix.
With regard to the U.S. Open, it is also an annual golf tournament, which is held in the United States. It is one of the four major championships in the world, along with the Masters Tournament, the Open Championship and the PGA Championship.
